The PMH Medical/Surgical Unit provides comprehensive care to patients recovering from surgery, illness or injury. Our patients receive highly personalized care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from exceptionally trained, long-term career nurses and clerical staff.
Our nursing staff collaborates to provide patients the best possible care. They have a wide range of experiences and many of our nurses hold specialty certifications. Our nurses work as part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care from admission until after a patient is discharged to develop a plan of care and needs that is designed for the individual patient. This team may include our dietitian, physical therapist, speech therapist, respiratory therapist or pharmacist.
We treat all patients as individuals, not numbers, and we do everything we can to accommodate their unique needs, exceed their expectations and make their stay and experience at PMH as comfortable as possible.
