Tim Gearhart, LCSW, LCAC
Addiction Therapist
Timothy Gearhart, LCSW, LCAC, is a licensed clinical addiction counselor who works one day a week at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in collaboration with primary care providers to address addiction in the context of whole health.
Tim grew up in Winamac and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Grace College and a master’s degree from Indiana University. For the past five years, he has been the owner of a small private practice in Winamac, mainly focusing on individuals who are vulnerable to getting into legal trouble as a result of substance abuse disorders, as well as those who are already involved in the criminal justice system due to substance abuse disorders and are seeking ways to triumph over past addictions. His approach to treatment uses the theories associated with the Risks Needs Responsivity (RNR) Model through Motivational interviewing and Cognitive therapy.
A former patient recently sent a letter to Tim thanking him for the help he gave him. “I know it’s a little late and all, but I’ve been meaning to message you. I just wanted to tell you that in 23 days, I will have 1 whole year clean, with six months of it being out.” Tim’s desire to meet people where they are, combined with the hope that anyone can succeed, makes his practice unique.
Patients are referred to Timothy by PMH providers. For questions or to schedule an appointment with a provider, call (574) 946-2194 and press option #4.
